Burst:Reading represents a first-in-class approach to adaptive instruction. Burst:Reading’s sophisticated technology uses mCLASS assessment data to drive skills-based student grouping, and generates 10-day sequences of teacher-led intervention to synchronize instruction with students’ evolving needs throughout the year. Teachers can more effectively help more students learn to read with comprehension.
mCLASS assessment products make it possible for teachers and coaches to perform assessments on handhelds and sync assessment results to the Web for reporting. Handheld assessments use research-proven measures to show student performance at key points throughout the year, to monitor progress as necessary, and to help teachers identify and monitor students’ specific learning needs.
Both Burst and mCLASS solutions use web-based interfaces where teachers and coaches access tools and reports to analyze student results, identify response patterns, differentiate instruction (Burst:Reading), and download supporting materials. Administrators retrieve district, school, and student data to report performance, analyze program usage, and allocate resources as necessary.
